Hey All,
Not been able to get onto AoS for the last few days.
Well I am sitting here in my home office listening to a bit of Ray LaMontagne, and it is sounding fantastic.
I am listening using Sennheiser HD600s and a Rega Ear headphone amplifier (The kids have been put to bed for their afternoon nap), and the combination is fantastic. I've listened to this combo a few times previously but something has just clicked into place. The Rega has lots of power, but the subtlety is there now too.
The source is a Denon DVD-A11, connected via a DIY Neotech/cardas cable to the Rega Ear, and the cable running from the Rega is a DIY Furutech/mogami/cardas combo.
I've not used the Denon before as a source for music, without plugging another dac inbetween, but the onboard dac is doing the business. I may have to move the Denon into my main rig for a little while.
