Selling my Tannoy System 600 Monitors. Yes, I'm going to regret this someday, but need the money :(

Both of them (on one side) have these odd black marks. Have a feeling these were used in a Studio in their past lives. The rest of the cabs are in good condition.

The only problem, the two badges that belong on the front are missing. Not a big deal in my opinion!

The most important thing...both drive units are in very good condition and working well.

To my ears these Tannoy's sound best with Valve amplification. For a few days these Tannoy's were used with my friends Almarro ''Class A'' Single Ended integrated amp. I tell you, the sound was bloody good!

This is a collection only sale.

Happy to demo the Tannoy's to the buyer.

Yup, sorry about that folks but Shane has a Quad 306 for sale too and I need a power amp more than a pair of speakers because my valve amp is playing up. Sorry to mess you about Shane... :eyebrows:

I hear what you are saying Shane but I can't help worrying that you are going to regret selling the Tannoys, have you nothing else you can put up instead?

Not really. I do have a pair of Mordaunt Short Pageant series 2...but just can't see myself selling them. Because they do certain nice things!

Must be airborne Geoff, i've often scratched my head at what Shane sell on and what's kept,
here i am doing the same in getting rid of my Monitor Gold's and keeping Urei's with battered cabs,
this could be the biggest Faux Pas for me to date.

I wouldn't mind swapping the Tannoy's for a nice ''warm'' sounding integrated amplifier with a good built in MM phono stage.

I'm not too worried about cosmetic condition! The amp must be in very good working order though.

I was asking 180 Pounds for these Tannoy System 600....the amp must have a very similar second hand value and be very good quality! The Tannoy System 600 usually fetch more on the auction site!!! I've even seen their drivers sell for almost 300 Pounds!!!

The member will have to bring the amp in person & also collect the Tannoy's. I'm still happy to demo the Tannoy's and have a chat.

My Modern Classic Tubes CT15 EL34 monoblocks sound great with any Tannoys and the new arrival, the Raphaelite 6V6 is working wonders with my System 800s and the Cheviots.

I'm now asking 120 Pounds (firm) for the Tannoy System 600. Now that is a bargain for such a good quality loudspeaker!!
