Lovely! - fast, detailed sound -- very detailed!

Not the last word in warm, enveloping sound. :nono: - but by golly this digs out the excitement of the music. Bass is deep, taut and clean.

0.25mV, Shibata profile stylus, beryllium cantilever. Spec (http://www.vinylengine.com/cartridge_database.php?m=Coral&t=any&sort=1&ascdesc=DESC&Search=Search&mod=MC-81)

Seems to be in good condition - tracks very well.
As with many carts, the cantilever is at a slight angle to the body, but works fine.

£55 UK del. :)

i used to have a coral 'MC88' in the 80's that looked identical to that but the body was a creamy toffee kinda colour, simular colour to the old Nag 'MP11' body! it sounded great in the Syrinx 'PU2' i had at the time..

Crap! I've been hankering for a low output Coral. My SAE is a Coral and sounds fantastic. :)

I remember the ones I tried with some affection, and I suspect they were before their time since more neutral sources weren't then available to domestic users. Hope the new owner loves it :)
