Thanks to Baz (Bazil (http://theartofsound.net/forum/member.php?u=3375)) for this week's selection - something completely different to the norm - which is what Album Club is all about.

A Greatest hits of Ennio Morricone film scores. (Compilation released in 2004)
Morricone has written hundreds of musical pieces (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ennio_Morricone), he hit the big time in the early 60's when he teamed up with movie director Sergio Leone to work on music for his famous Spaghetti Westerns.
These films just would not be the same without his unique sound.
Who can possibly not get shivers watching the final scene from The Good The Bad and The Ugly. In my opinion the greatest film scene ever made, but without the music
Here it is in HD :D

So that was the start of his success and there are plenty more recent gems to enjoy on this album.
