My new Klipsch are home, safe and sound
Just managed to unbox them, boy they are heavy
Now hooked up to the AN Oto
Initial impressions are good, they are effortless even with the 8watts of the Oto
congrats, Bev :) - some pictures would though be useful... ooops, Marco was just the quicker :)
also, knowing the Heresies to some extent I wouldn't like to be slapped on the face at any chance by your lil' gentle hands, dear lady ;)

I've just 'plonked' them down at mo. I will probably be re-arranging my room soon so the hifi & speakers are better placed
SO don't laugh at the pics for now

They are a nice Walnut finish and I also have some risers to place underneath but I've only got one pair of hands! So I'll probably place these underneath when I move things around
Amazing to think these (in MkIII guise) now retail for about £2,000
Had to drive 300 mile round trip to pick these up, madness maybe but I am always working on hunches, if you know what I mean :D:D
Oh and Dave I don't get asked to "show my puppies" every day, he he he :lolsign:

I mistook the Heresies for an other Klipsch something the size of the La Scala (pic 1), hence my words referring to the (wo)manpower needed for lifting them :)
also, just managed to take some ravazzi photo of you riding the Heresy in joy (pic 2) - hope you won't mind sharing it ;)

No not you me , I mentioned puppies and some female related comments so decided to remove them
Some very nice looking HI-Fi items :)

Well there's no reason to remove anything on my account, I'm very broad minded :stalks:
Thanks for the comment re: the gear

Thats the norm with Bev's threads, i've noticed the pattern OP tends to disappear and we end up talking to ourselves.

ooooppps sorry I didn't notice this thread had more posts, I slipped up there
My new babies are still super. The Heresy's are so dynamic, real sounding, if that makes any sense. I'm not very good at describing what I hear, that's the best I can do
I have an urge to try them with a 300b amplifier though. As good as I think the AN Oto is, I believe a reasonable 300b amp is supposed to be a super match for horns in general

Must be nearly as good as a pair of big Tannoys then Bev.
(I do know what you mean by the way. It's the immediacy you get with efficient speakers with big magnets and fast transient response)

Yes that's it Geoff, they do have a "fast transient response", well put ;)
I couldn't neither afford or accommodate a large Tannoy even if I wanted to

A pair of Tannoy Eatons would not cost more than your Heresy's and take up less room, yet they use a 10" development of the Monitor Gold and give the true dual concentric sound. I've had five pairs and always thought they sounded great.

Yeah BUT look how 'horny' my Klipsch are !!:lol::lol::lol:
I love them
Ninanina

They are soooooooo dynamic, sooo real sounding
I don't care what others may say about Klipsch because I think once they are heard 'properly' with a decent system most of you would be very surprised just how good these babies are
They are definitely keepers, and I've had MANY speakers through my hands believe me
I will probably be selling my KG3's shortly and to be honest who ever buys them are in for a real treat, and that's NOT sales talk ;)

Currently playing James Blunt, Back to Bedlam, which I've not played for ages, and boy how real and emotional it sounds through my very horny Klipsch
May have to turn it down in a bit soon as I have lovely neighbours

For a couple of quid you could buy your neighbours some earplugs.

I agree, just so they can't hear james blunt.
Oh, that's mean... James Blunt, what a... bloody nice bloke, I should imagine. ;)
Ninanina
30-04-2013, 21:43
You are all sooo funny..
I never thought of earplugs for the neighbours, I have loads of earplugs that I used when on my motor bike, I could hand them out to them for FREE
I agree that maybe James Blunt is not to everyone's liking but after not listening to it for a while it does sound super through the 'babies'
:lol::lol:

Thanks Alex, I also think James is a great bloke too...
Now onto Nanci Griffith, Clock Without Hands, hope that pleases more people :)

It's great that you like your new speakers - I presume the reason you call them 'your babies' is not the same as my experience with babies - things that shriek at the top end and ooze with poo at the bottom!

Isn't that Cerwin Vega?

Chris your comments really made me laugh :lol:
"shriek at the top end and ooze with poo at the bottom!"
They sound nothing like that actually, but you did make me giggle !!!
In fact, even though they are probably still burning in, they are anything but brash..... seem pretty smooth with the AN keeping them in check...

Cerwin Vega are party animals - so I suppose after a few too many sherberts that could happen...

Just kidding Bev - glad you took it in the spirit that it was intended.

Unfortunately I've not been blessed with 'babies' in the real sense
Probably my only life regret, but I've done so many other things because of it I guess, and probably why I now frequent such forums, a ??
