the record playing is OMD by OMD bloody brilliant!
Hope Morris minor checked this out!
its the atacama rack i bought of him! im still loving it,the kids can jump around on the floor whilst my vinyl is spinnin, and it dont miss a beat, its great !
this is my "a bit live" room !
it can emulate a bose system nicely !
luckily the furniture absorbs most of it,i do like its sound though!
The tannoys sound lush !

Hi Kieran, hope you are well and good to see you here again, and with your system moving on somewhat! Looking good - I've edited your posts so the images are included automatically.
I must get my Jamo's back from you sometime if you're no longer using them?
You can enjoy your gear regardless its price, thats the beauty of our hobby.
I have that very same Equinox rack right here sitting on pennies, well eurocents actually. Speaking of cheap.
Looking good and please don't EVER call your system a "budget" one. I bet it's great and you'll prob ably have to spend TONS more, even second hand, to get anything you'd call "better.."
One thing though and from a distance. Can the speakers be put (and listened to centrally) if they're either side of the fireplace?. having the large sideboard in between the speakers is a bit of a compromise, if you don't mind me saying so?

As you can see ,the rack and system are behind the front room door! that is a compromise ,i always sit where the wine glass is ,its a good spot, and funny enough its the best stereo image iv ever had in this room,ok the sideboard is a bit mmmm, but the alternative is the fireplace, and there isnt a comfy chair that end of the room!
And i know i should never diss my own setup, but as everyone knows there is always better,i am content for now,i do love the matching of the marantz and tannoys,i think they sound superb, the tannoys, although a cheaper model, are very well built i have a good gap between the wall and speakers so they breath very nicely ,bass is full and not at all boomy, treble can get a bit much coz of the room, but i do use the tonal controls to counter this,it sounds awsome LOUD! Rush never sounded so goooood!
cheerz guys:cool:
i always sit where the wine glass is
There is no better place to sit! :)

My son's a turbulent dominant part of mine ;)
Hey Alex, that's TWO pairs of speakers you've got to collect (don't forget the little 'uns pretty please?)

Was thinking about that today - normally get down there once every couple of weeks, but luck of the draw hasn't worked out - not forgotten though Dave. :)
