I have been enjoying my old Ravensbrook of late. Its not the most forceful of amps but is very relaxing and 'musical'. Good on the Sennheisers too.

I remember on another one I had that the knobs were different, they were black bodied with a brass effect front. Does anyone know if the ones I have are standard?? I would like to get a set of the other if anyone knows where they might be available

I had one years ago - black/very dark brown(?) knobs with brass end caps as you describe - but mine had square selector "buttons" I recall so yours may be a slightly different (newer?) version?

I've had a few of these. Good little amps, better than the bigger Ravensbourne. Your knobs are the correct ones by the way. I had one of these matched up to a pair of equally old AR4Xa speakers and the combination sounded really great.

Gordon it's because you have a later one (Vent slots in the wooden sleeve) for the black knob bodies you want an earlier version (Mesh vent in sleeve) same applied to the 'Ravenbourne'

Aha, thats a shame. The push buttons for the selectors are black with brass on the front so I assumes the knobs should match. It would be nice if they did though!! I wonder where I could find some. maybe an old knackered non working one somewhere. Have to check out eBay.
