Another project [cor blimey mistah] I am getting through them :eyebrows:

I picked up an old mains tranny at an amateur radio meet for €6, boy done good.
Not as good as I could have done, missed a big bag of E81CCs, thought I would go back later for a few but someone had bought the lot :eek:

It seems a lot of effort to give just a few milliwatts into some 'phones, but there is a certain panache and clarity to the sound :D
The board with the heatsink is the regulator for the DC heaters, with choke filtered HT. I only had ECC82s to play with so that's what I've used.

I've put it together so I can have a personal bake off when the 'Firebottle MM Pre' arrives back for its fettling.
I'm keen to know how it will compare to my all triode pre, before and after the mods I've got lined up.
