Where me bass go?

It might just be my imagination, but I decided to follow the advice of some peeps here and plug my amp straight into the wall socket, and, the bass has dropped significantly.

Any thoughts on why? I think I will be plugging it back into the Belkin ASAP!

Plugged it back into the Belk, and it now sounds as it did before!

Plugging straight into the wall socket seemed to kill dynamics and drop the bass, contrary to others finding it the other way round! :scratch:

Just thought that may be the reason. Digi amps are very efficient, so don't make the demands class AB amps do on the mains, leading to the "sat upon" sound when used with mains filters.

In my experience, digi amps respond well to mains filters, probably at least partly due to the minimal demands made on the mains, and they respond even better to good linear power supplies.

Craig , I have a Marantz KI pearl lite amp and a Yamaha RXV1700 av amp and they both sound better through my PF30 and PUREAV block , though still experimenting with the pearl amp .

Strangely against known logic on this one ?

The only time things get strangled is when the amp draws more than the unit its plugged into can provide, otherwise you should be OK/hear an improvement (if were talking about filters/conditioners/regenerators).
