Do you think the quality of the materials used for a earth lead will have an impact on SQ? So far example do you think silver would be better than copper?? My own personal view is NO there will be no improvement in SQ, but I would like to hear comments as I'm in the process of designing some reference power leads for my system.

Since under normal (safe) conditions there won't be any current flowing in the 'earth' cable, it doesn't matter one iota whether copper or silver is used.

Under a fault condition, there will be so much momentary current flowing (until the trip goes or the fuse blows), then again it won't matter whether the cable is made from copper or silver.

What is this obsession with silver? It's only 6% more conductive than copper, is usually of a lower purity and is much more expensive.
