I am dithering so this is a interest check, totally unmolested 12''inch drivers,
price is £1200.00 firm picked up from mine's or courier at cost,
a pair selling in Ebay asking £1900.00 and mine are just as good with less scratches and better corners,
will pull them out for pics next couple of days.

Thanks Shane, definitely for sale now, if no takers i am thinking open surgery and sell the drivers and innards serperately,
it'll be the 1st they'll have been opened up, all the retaining screws has never seen a screw driver near it. :(

Thanks Nathan, hope the 44's are still doing the biz for you.
Hi Andy,
Good luck with the sale, mate, but what on earth are you going to buy for any sensible money that are better than these?
As for selling, ebay is defo your best bet, especially if you can catch the Japs, who positively lap up original condition vintage Tannoy DCs! Might cost you a bit to ship them, but you'll make up for it in the price you'll get...
Marco.
Sounds great except Glasgow

Thanks Marco, i am probably making the biggest mistake in my life but i am going full circle with my outlook on kit,
i am using my newly fixed Urei's with my MC2 Audio MC750 Pro amp and i'm having huge fun,
just can't justify hanging on to expensive kit and rather concentrate on the music.
I really don't want to do Ebay if i don't have to, get what you are saying for the Far East market going ga ga for these,
there are people on there that specialises in bidding on vintage U.K. kit and shipping it to contacts over there,
my Wharfedale W3's sold to such a dealer.
Sounds great except Glasgow
Stef, you could book a holiday in Scotland and do pick up, summer is just round the corner you know and i'll hold onto them for you. :D
Hi,
I am very intersted in your speakers.
Can you please let me know if they are in full working order?
Also what are possibl payment methods and is it possible if I arrange courier collection.
Is there a possibility to make few photos from the inside.
You can answer here or via private message.

Hi Vitaliy,
Yes they are 100% working order, the back has never been taking off in it's liftime, off to work just now and finishing late Thurs and Friday's, could do internal shots over the weekend.
Never sent anything to your part of the woods before but as long as you arrange it yourself, i am happy to drop it off at the courier depot, will be in touch. :)
Andy.
Thanks for the reply.
Please send the photos to vitalytheking at gmail.com
Of course, you can make them any time that is suitable for you.

Internal shots for anyone interested, no disrespect to Vitaliy but for purely logistic reasons, would prefer U.K. sale but if no takers, then abroad it is.
As can be seen they are pristine condition and not a mark on any of the units, with a designer thin layer of Faerie Dust on the dust caps,
cone and surrounds absolutely tip top.

At £1200 it's a very good price... These shouldn't be still here... Hope they go soon.

Thanks Joe, hope so myself.
Like to add i will include a set of original 79 strand cables that i use with these,
they are solder to Cotter Pins that i adapted to fit, i thought the idea up myself as i didn't want to loose the originality of the speakers and wanted a more solid connection, i had to buy a few different sizes to arrive at the ideal size (2.5mm or so), hack sawed one of the pins 3mm or so before the hoop,
passed the cables through the hoop , climp and twist then solder, insert the modified pins with the flat side to the centre,
fits very snuggly as the round end follows the natural contour of the hole, force of the spring clip on the flat side,
before i did this, i had to shave a lot of strands just to shove through the opening enough but it was never a good connection.
I'm surprised these are still here too at this price. I wish I had the spare cash Andy as I think these would suit my system really well...

Sign of the times Dave, the pair i saw on Ebay had to drop the asking price by £200.00 to £1700.00, they sold a day or so thereafter,
don't know what the final price was, can't really use Ebay prices as a guide as they are all over the place at times, we'll see what happens.
I wish you the very best of luck Andy. I would need to sell my DR5, Techie, SME and my DM2's to even stand a chance of getting close to the money needed and that would be a huge gamble because there is always the chance I might not realise the figure I'd need. Ah well, I will own a pair of Tannoys eventually, even if I have to wait 20 years to do so...
