Techniboots - Anyone used them?

Today I managed to get some 12mm sorbothane and plonk it under my 1210's Isonoe feet. I thought I could produce a cheaper version of these

Previously I had tried this modifcation before but didnt like what I was hearing. I think that this must have been something to do with the thickness of the sorbothane I was using. I honestly think that the soundstage has more co-herence, a little more definition, and I think I can "see" a little more into the mix with instruments have slightly more seperation. I would welcome comments from other users of similar devices or materials.

I've just this moment received a set of Isonoe Sorbothane Boots from Amazion, to go with my new Isonoe feet. So they'll be going on this evening. I'll let you know what I think!

I would ditch the isonoe feet in favour of 50mm Sorbothane semispheres.

These have worked very well for me, better than anything else I have tried and on a veriety of Dual, ProJect and Thorens decks.
They do a superb job of isolating the deck and have always had a positive contribution to the sonics.

Several people have said they prefered the simple vantage feet over the isonoe items.

HMMMMmmmmm possibly. Its more expense and its an unknown variable which could be a waste time:scratch: My system sounds superb and to be honest some nights I can wait to get home and switch on. But no doubt the paypal account will come into action and I'll end up getting a set :doh:

Having added the sorbothane boots to the isonoe feet, any tendency to jump at movement in the environment has now gone. So that's good. I'm keeping them...but I suspect it's a case of Emperors New Clothes. Not at all convinced they really make any noticeable difference to my systems sound. I think the simple sorbothane feet are a better vfm proposition.

I'm using Techniboots over Isonoes and the level of isolation is simply amazing. They have definitely opened up the soundstage and fine detail when giving my system some welly. A no-brainer for the ultimate in isolation from the rest of the world.

Problem I've got with my Isonoes is that they are resting on a granite isolation platform which is quite "slippery". I'd like them to have some more grip in case I give the tt a knock, so will probably just buy a sheet of sorbothane like Andrew and cut out some discs for the Isonoes to sit on.
