Yep (they are in the boxes behind the speakers), but not with the TG alterations. All the components gave ended up being replaced, but as per the original Yamaha specification.

Yeah, thought so. I also heard them the year before. At that time I was immediately struck by the lack of integration they displayed; but this year I found exactly the opposite and thought they were one of the best integrated horn systems I have heard!

Here are my latest DIY efforts. Believe it or not they are open baffles, and at around 102 dbs they go loud with a watt or two.
The size is the achievement for me, getting a speaker to do what these do, as small as they are has taken a few years of thought, trial and error .

They consist of two vintage 12" drivers and the beyma tpl150. They are still work in progress (as is everything I make), Never the less they are very capable and without any colouration with just the 21/2 watts they are fed at the moment.
They have a very even response, the beymas are fantastic in this respect, the bass drivers match so well, the in room corner..ish loaded response beingnquite flat down to 35 Hz. The bass and every other part of the sound is as fast as one is likely to hear from any speaker.

The speakers sit on four small ball bearings in a recess, seems to work ok and makes a change from spikes;)

Take care using bricks or building blocks. Even if they look dry, they can contain moisture which can damage speaker cabinets and floors.

Hi Nick,
They are CNC'd by Wilmslow Audio, I took an existing design and modified the shape/pro to accommodate my particular drivers.
LOL on the breeze block, they were sealed with pva to stop the dust, the 215's were so incredibly heavy and once the first thing that came to hand was under them I wasn't going to EVER move then again.

Arrr yes, just seen the build for the speakers on PFM, I may give Wilmslow a try some time as I can make cabinets and stuff, but it just eats time and sometimes i'm too impatient;)

These were originally my homemade 6' voigt pipes. I used them with some Fostex FE206's full range drivers

I sold them, without the drivers, to a dealer. This is what they look like now

I'm afraid that's not my system Rare Bird, it was the dealers set up who purchased my voigts

We made the voigts at home from thick MDF, took us a few days to make. I left them in their natural finish but the dealer painted them the white you see above, I think they look pretty smart now
