This freezing weather is doing my head in
I work outside and it's freezing , when it comes to my days off I have things I would like to do outside but its like a bus-mans holiday :(
Its predicted to be a high of 6 today if we are lucky however its windy so will cut through you if out and about
predicted to be cold for another 2 or so weeks yet
Bloody global worming my arse :steam:
It's been going on so long now I've almost got used to it. My house is old and although I have double-glazed it, if the outside temp drops below about 4 degree C it starts to impact inside.
I suppose one advantage is that when the temp does get back up to 8 or 9 degrees it will feel like we are in the Bahamas :)

I think we'd better get used to it , you've seen that movie ' the day after tommorow ' ? It's going to be just like that soon , we are all doomed I tell you .

Pretty typical that if my life is going to resemble a movie it has to be a shit one

Yes, the non-stop cold weather is pissing me off seriously. I feel the cold badly and have jobs I need to do outside, which I just can't tackle at the moment.
The wind has unremittingly come from the east for weeks on end and until that changes we'll still keep getting the weather from north Russia.
Knowing our luck, when there's a change the wind will turn south westerly and we'll have weeks of rain instead.

Yeah it's a serious ball ache. My wife is a whole lot more cheery when the weathers good and want s to do all sorts of fun things. I personally feel the cold (probably due to my Caribbean roots). The year long central heating on is another worrying factor coupled with austerity it aint good :(

It's not just the cold which is getting to me, it's the lack of sunshine. All we've had is the occasional sunny day since October and my body desperately needs the vitamin D.
I believe the crap weather is due to the 'Jetstream' which slipped Southwards last Spring, resulting in the cr*p Summer. So, we are unlikely to get decent weather until that moves back into place.

Don't worry about it - It'll be fine, British Summertime starts at midnight tonight!

What i get fed up with is not being able to put the washing out on the Line, instead our Electric bill is sky high using the tmble dryer all the time..
I mean it was loverly & sunny all morning, just had about 5 min snow & now it's sunny again, what's all that about :mental:

I went to the boat club at Leigh on Sea and it was snowing on and off so now back home whit the heating on again
A balmy 4c here and the sun is out as well. On Tuesday temp is expected to hit a high of 7 degrees - T-shirt weather! Wind remains stubbornly East/North-East though. Anyone living in a hot country want to do a life swap?
Awaiting the cast of Happy Feet to turn up in the street to film their latest instalment ;)

Those tumble dryers are a killer Andre , I've virtually banned ours from being used ! Resorted to airers scattered about the house .
Keep the central heating off most of the time and am wacking any wood I can find into the woodburner .
