Hifi improvements or my ears going funny ?

Catching up on a old Radio prog the Tivo picked up for me on Santana, 2010 or 2011 at a guess

Listening to one track from the 1st album and hearing stuff I'd never heard before with the production much clearer - great !
Must grab the LP and play *loud*

All sorts revealed I have never heard before. Well engineered and produced.

Yes the Technics has been helped to super stardom by all the recent mods
but the Tivo ?!
That has been moved on to a lesser rack with a lesser, 2 meter lead.
What has the Tivo got it didn't have before ?
It is remote from the other kit - might help
The Naim Pre and power are now powered by the P10 and Ultimate cables

Ive changed it it must be better.
Perhaps the Tivo source quality has improved.

I'm expecting less from the Tivo and it is a 2-3 year old recording - so puzzled
