I'm looking for a pair of cheapish (£150ish) bookshelf speakers to use as fronts in a surround system. They'll be driven by a Marantz SR6004 receiver which will do 70WPC. As I'm gradually going to be putting together a 5.1 system, the catch is that there needs to be the prospect of a matching centre speaker, which will probably need to be horizontal. As space will be limited it should be a design that will work reasonably well close to a rear wall.

I'm a little biased towards the B&W 601s and 602s, having heard them extensively in similar setups, so these would be first choice. I'd consider other suggestions though, and may consider compact floorstanders. Older Linns may be interesting, and thoughts on Ruarks or Epos speakers would be welcomed. I'm also keen on Regas.
