A few photo's taken today (Tuesday 26 March 2013) in Cleethorpes during the clearup of the excesses of a sand storm.

Yes Marco, everything broke down and I got the hell out of there and relocated back to my home town. Bliss...!!! Now to rebuild my hi-fi.

Unfortunately my business went bust in 2010 which led to me selling my Croft and my SL1210 and my relationship ended in 2012. I am now in a new relationship with Sue who adores music and hi-fi and I am back in my home town. I also have a new job as an industrial chemist so things are really going full circle. At the moment, everything is looking really positive but then we've all been there before haven't we...?

I'm not sure that Lincolnshire has the culinary expertise of the Star Inn at Harome but we do have a few Michelin starred places around and about so next year maybe when I have dug myself out of this big hole I can actually indulge. In the meantime I am saving for a Croft setup as it is the finest amplifier I have ever heard in a very long time and also a 1210 Mk5G. Or am I just dreaming again...?

I was virtually homeless at one point 16 years ago so i know what it's like to start from scratch again in relationship, job & home. These days i spend very little if i can help it because you never know where your gonna be next year.

Spending loads of money on Hi-Fi can simply take a hike because at the end of the day they are only possesions you can have one day, gone the other..The only real guarentee of keeping your prized possesions is having money in the back to fall back on.

Paul, serious thanks for your comments. I do the best I can with what I have in my head and any kind of camera. I am definitely not into buying the latest Nikon or Canon just because it is supposed to be THAT good and I definitely won't ever put that kind of money at them so I just do what I can with what I have. I beg borrow or steal a camera and go out and take photo's. Nothing fancy, nothing expensive.

A shot taken yesterday (Saturday 7th September) just down the road from Cleethorpes at Tetney Salt Marsh close to a place called Humberston. This is a great place to contemplate the universe and the meaning of life or maybe just go for a walk...!

This is close to a place called 'Five Ways' which is in fact the division between Grimsby and Cleethorpes. We all have to put up with such 'art' so I decided to do my take on it.

It's quite a special spot, you get that massive lagoon by the boat club emptying out over 3 hours through a quite narrow outlet. So you get 10-12 knots of current in there, meaning you can ride in very little wind.

Not only is Cleethorpes a great photo opportunity, it is the birth place of one of the least known names in the pop world - Rod Temperton. Once a member of Heatwave, but better known for his writing and co-writing skills for Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones and others. Some of his successes :-

Taken today Friday 3rd January, this is a defensive barrier at a place called Buck Beck close to Cleethorpes and is supposed to stop people jumping off into the water.

A digital image taken yesterday of one of the lantern markers on Cleethorpes seafront. The red and white boat in the distance is waiting for high tide so that it can proceed up the river Humber to Grimsby docks where it will offload its cargo of Audi's.

This one is digital and was shot at a place called the 'Fitties' which apparently is local speak for a salt marsh. It is located at the very southern most end of Cleethorpes close to a place called Tetney Salt Marsh where there is a small community of beach chalets. There are two of WWI military forts in the river and of course, the Humber Mouth Yacht Club.

This shot was taken during September 2014 using an Olympus Pen Lite set at ISO 100 but underexposed by half a stop to saturate the colours.
