Help on upgrading PCB and other bits

Hi All

I've a technicie 1210mk2 with Vandamme cable, however I wish to let a friend loose on upgrading the board inside and some of the internal wires.

Anyone help on this, as in what to buy to get him to upgrade?

external power later date
mike new bearing later date
new tone arm at a later date
