I am delighted to announce that RFC is just about to launch it's first SUT, the RFC-MC1.
This is a 1:10 ratio Step Up Transformer which comes as standard with a 100 Ohm loading but for no extra cost, I can provide custom loading to suit your exact cartridge specifications.
The SUT pictured is the PROTOYPE UNIT which I am making available for trial purposes. The intention is that anyone who is in the market for an SUT can trial this one for a few days in their system and if you like what it does for your MC cartridge (and I'm confident that you will!), you can place an order for one.
I will be offering a 5% discount on RRP for all AoS members. RRP of the final version will be announced shortly but is expected to be between £300 and £400.
These SUTs are multi-wound, interleaved full bandwidth step up transformers, specially wound for Reference Fidelity Components. You will not find them for sale anywhere else! These measure fairly flat all the way up to 100KHz! I am confident that there are fewer finer measuring SUTs on the market, let alone at what is expected to be RFC's exceptionally competitive price.
Please contact me with your address details if you would be interested in trialling the prototype model. You would be responsible for arranging fully insured Special Delivery postage to the next person in the trial list.
Please also note that the picture below represents the fairly rough and ready prototype. the final boxes will be far higher quality and finish. I have concentrated for now on the quality of the electronics and the performance! The eagle eyed amongst you may have spotted the lack of a grounding post. This is on my to do list before the unit goes out:
