Just the obligatory welcome post to let you know what my system comprises:

Source: Resolution Audio Cantata
Pre: Octave HP500SE
Power: Graaf GM100
Speakers: Audio Physic Virgo 25plus
Cables: AP interconnects. DNM speaker cable

I'm in the process of setting up the vinyl source and have just purchased a Garrard 401 on ebay. I'm now looking for a nice plinth!

I'm currently looking at a change in speaker and coincidently Audio Physic. Would love to hear your comments on the Virgo 25 plus and did you audition the standard 25's aswell.

Hi Michael and welcome to AOS; I used to own the Graaf GM 100 (with its matching pre) - one of the best pieces of kit I've ever owned. Really glad to hear that Graaf is back from the dead - some exciting new products, including a CD player are apparently in the pipeline.

Welcome to AoS Michael. A 401 heh? - great choice!

If you are looking for a wood plinth and haven't already found Russ Collinson (http://www.layers-of-beauty.co.uk/)'s work then start there - he does an exceptional job - although I expect demand has meant he has moved out of the budget end of the market these days -he used to do a basic plinth for under £150, not sure if he still does...

So, onto the important stuff - what sort of music do you like?
