I'm speccing a flat screen. No rush to buy
Second hand could be the best for me and the price !
So far I have Panasonic, Plasma, 42, 46 or 50"
Stand preferred but could wall mount or maybe habve the choiuce for either
Need HDMI and SCART
Tuner in the TV or not
Freesat perhaps
1080 so HD
Connection to PC, but as our broadband is driven by a geriatric hamster part time this is not crucial
What did I miss and not know ?

Have a look at John Lewis Mike . They're hard to beat with a very good 5 year guarantee and a promise to match competitors prices .

Thanks Brian
I was looking to go 2nd hand for less than that - but a brand new 50" Telly for £600 is making me think - especially with a 5 year warranty

I see it is referred to as budget and the light levels need to be watched but .. Why is the price so low ?

Don't know mate . I've bought a Panasonic 37 inch plasma and recently a Panasonic 42 inch plasma from them , both for £349 . I don't want to ask :eyebrows:Remember if you find the same TV cheaper anywhere else they will match the price and still give you a 5 year guarantee.

I have been very happy with a pioneer kuro 42in plasma....performed flawlessly.....and super picture! cost me £1200 at the time but Im sure you will find them knocking around secondhand...there are 3 or 4 on the bay at the mo...
just type "pioneer kuro" and then look for 42in....I believe there was a dedicated surround sound that could be got for it but I didn't get it...just like my monitor...I will always buy the best I can afford, your eyes are important:cool:
