Purchased at Richersounds Glasgow for £70 , 9 months ago.

Will sell for £50, inc postage.

No box, still in new condition.

I owned its predecessor a while ago and it was alright for the money, so 50 quid seems about right for someone looking to get into vinyl on a budget. There are also some mods which can take this humble stage into the stratosphere if one is so inclined ;)

Ah, just noticed these are for the 650p/651p. They may be able to suggest some ideas however, or maybe even boost its performance for you :)

Indeed. It would seem by the comments from the Scalford thread that the system which contained the modified 640p was considered by many to be the best in show ;)

I couldn't find any reccomended mods for mine either!, although I have to say I demo'd the Rega, Phono-Box II, and a Graham Slee all at similar prices and the 551p-B that I bought sounded the best of the four, is yours the 'B' spec?
