In on my own for a precious hour yesterday, so I had a quick music session, and for the first time since I've had the Ushers, I had the chance to remove the grilles for a fairly longish listen.

All I can say is that so far in my speaker owning life, I have never known grille removal make so much difference, it make me want to say........" It's as if a veil had been lifted!" :eyebrows:

Usher owners, if you haven't yet removed yours, get 'em off! Even if only for the time you listen. :)

To be honest grills off applies to most speaker designs so this is no surprise. The grills are to protect from dust and little hands.

Very true, but as I said, I've never heard such a difference in all of the speakers I've owned, maybe the grilles on Ushers are really dense! :eyebrows:
