Hello, new to the site, was drawn in by the "Search for the 'ultimate' 12AX7/ECC83 valves" discussion, but am finding much to read and learn from here.

I too am looking for the ultimate valves for my phono preamp, I collect vinyl, mostly original pressings, not a huge reissue fan, and do transfer most of it (rip it) to 24-bit/96kHZ flac for playback.
My ripping rig is
Sota Sapphire w/ Eminent Technology Tonearm 2 (ET-2)
Audio-Technica AT33EV
Tube Box SE II w/NOS Telefunken ECC83

I have a set of Mullard Blackburn as well, but am most intrigued by the Telsa valves that Marco settled on in the thread I mentioned.

My other setups include Rogue Atlas/Metis, Technics SL1100A, Quad LS2 speakers, and a lot of headphone listening (Grado 325i and Beyerdynamic DT770 Pros).

Just wanted to say hello, thanks for the great site, looking forward to rolling a pair of the Telsas soon!

I know it is cliche', but I really like a wide variety of styles and genres. 50s jazz (always looking for original Blue Note and Prestige titles), delta blues, classic 70s rock, bluegrass, folk, and much more.
Ash Ra to Zappa, and much in between.
