For sale ATC SCM 20T speakers - seldom used.

These pair are the original & ultra rare PASSIVE ATC SCM 20T towers in real walnut finish with the original spikes. To ensure accuracy, there are some minor scuff marks and a scratch on one of the sides, however these are faithful to the age of the speakers & do not detract from the overall look of the stunning real walnut finish.

Its vital to know these units have been lovingly & immaculately maintained, no pets and a smoke free home. The drive units & tweeter are in pristine condition & unmarked & are like new as they have been seldom used, both grilles are cloth perfect but one of the grilles is slightly loose in one corner but both fit perfectly, both baffle boards have some slight pit marks in the top left & one baffle board has a long scratch down the side, however these are not visible unless you are up close and furthermore difficult to photograph & capture with my phones camera, otherwise I would have included the images no problem.

I have the original ATC shipping boxes and original packaging.

I know I'm a low post count here, but there are plenty that know me from other fora where my count is not so low.

This one is just a quicky to vouch for Manny. I have dealt with him and he is absolutely spot on.
He even springs for the coffee's at meet up's :D

All these need is a POWERFUL amp to get them going! No expensive high current jobbies here, just something stable and sensible like a Quad 606 or two (I used a 405-2 with no trouble other than heat issues when having a lengthy loud session (). Any of AVI's old bigger amps would be perfect for these and in fact, there was a Sony integrated or two (from their black early 90's era) that worked a treat as well since they had loads of power on tap.

Some of the better old-but-serviced cheap pro amps would be great as well (Yamaha somethingorother 3000 is fine, as would a suitably driven Crown DC300A ;), HH 100WPC plus models and many others recommended for their good sonics rather than "just" brute force (avoid some PA/club-amps for this reason).

I used a Beard P50 - sonically in that combo I've not heard anything better. Musical and effortless, a grin is appearing on my face even now as I recall some memories...

Beautiful wood in those speakers Manny...:)

Most definitely, ATC threw a lot of money on these and proper Michell speaker terminals too!

Twenty years ago they cost over £2K. I believe they finished up over double that price IIRC.
