Since my home-made turntable is currently being converted to direct drive, I find that I have enough bits left over to make up a kit for a would-be idler builder.

The bits are as follows:

1 x Akai 4000DS motor with transformer, ballast resistor and capacitor, converted to run clockwise.

1 x idler wheel mounted on articulated bracket.

1 x platter/sub-platter/bearing assembly from a Heybrook TT2.

The motor runs at the correct speed for an idler running on the outer perimeter of a 12" platter at 33.33 rpm. All parts are in good condition, but the idler itself is a bit crude, so there is room for improvement there.

I'm looking for £35 plus £10 UK p&p. Quite happy to quote for sending abroad.
