Hiya all,

Just popping in to say hi and to introduce myself..

Firstly my name is Chris (if you didn't already guess from my username, the GTL bit is an acronym for Gas-To-Liquid which caught my eye when I started working in my industry). I am 32 for another 9 days and then I feel like treating myself to some new hi-fi hardware.

My current system is all fairly new, I started off playing with Onkyo AV setups and then got the upgrade bug bad. Now I'm on the Yamaha RX-A1010, Monitor Audio BX2 stand-mounts, Monitor Audio BX2 Centre Speaker, Onkyo Surrounds and a BK Electronics XXLS400 Subwoofer.

My input for my movies/music is a HTPC running a Q6600 and HDMI bitstreaming graphics card.

Music is FLAC (WASAPI Foobar) and movies are blu-ray (Home Cinema /w madVR/reClock).

Everything I ever wanted from my movies is now ticked off, sounds great for a system that didn't put me into liquidation. However listening to 2-channel FLAC audio files isn't putting a big enough grin on my face. So this is what I am here to read about.

My Yamaha RX-A1010 has pre-outs so I'm currently thinking along the lines of a Naim Nait 5i or similar for my 2-channel output aswell as my fronts 5.1 output.

Edit** - Forgot to say, music I am into - Queen, Keane, Stevie Wonder, 80's pop, Plan B, House Music.

Wish me luck,
Chris
