View Full Version : Mission 760iSE repair or replace
Just got back from my sister my Mission 760iSE speakers, there were mint and now they need work :steam: New grille, new tweeter and a driver, looks like one speaker was dropped on the front face/corner but there is no damage to the cab.
I can get replacement parts at around £60 but is it worth it? Would some new budget speakers at around £100 be as good, and I mean as in make you want to jump up and dance

if you think its worth it do it.
Just find an old-style pair of Mission 780SE you can pick them up for the same price as your repair bill...

My advice would be to look for some used 780SEs, now they'll make you want to jump up and dance, more low end clout than the 760s...:)
And the drivers/grilles will probably be interchangeable, so you can use the 760s as spares, the 780s just have a deeper cabinet...

Snap!!!
I do in fact have some spare 760's and we could do a deal on the tweeter and bass unit. I have some 760i's as well and the tweeter and bass unit is the same as the original 760. £20 for the two plus postage? If you are interested then post a pic just to confirm.
Oh yea there are some very nice 780SE's going cheap as well:D
Decisions and what to do
Found that the other grille is also broken, so the costs are creeping up.
