Have been auditioning various different tonearm cables recently. This has had very little use.

Withdrawn from sale....for now

Had another session with this cable and have decided to keep it.

Perhaps it needed a bit more 'burning in' or perhaps changing the mat helped or maybe it's all just in my head

Hi Chris,

I haven’t actually found anything better as yet and am still on the lookout for an upgrade from my Jelco cable.

I think the Oyaide cable is excellent and is far more refined and detailed than the Jelco, it proffers a full-ish sound with stonking bass delivery. Perhaps it is not best suited to my set-up though.

I use an old Mayware cartridge, you see, which is quite warm and full sounding. The Oyaide is perhaps better suited to some more modern day cartridges or those that are slightly thinner sounding or more brightly lit.

The Jelco, on the other hand, is quite a bright sounding cable, I think, and quite light on it’s feet, but it does lack some detail and refinement unfortunately.

I have been contemplating trying something with some silver in it next. :)

I should also probably mention that it has come to my attention that I tend to favour a brighter presentation than most people.

I have been running solid state amplification into Monitor Audio speakers for years. :)

The Oyaide cable is almost certainly what most people would describe as very 'neutral'.

I can understand that , the Oyaide is a cracking cable .
