Quad 34 / 306 / FM4 Pre and Power Amplifiers with Tuner and Rack

I am helping a friend to sell his equipment. He wants it to go to a home where it will be used and cherished. There’s no ‘middle man’ cut going to me - I’m just helping by putting buyer in touch with seller.

Contemporary reviews
Hifi Choice:
Finely constructed components offering a pleasant and consistent sound, with considerable versatility. In particular the special tone controls provide for a wide range of adjustment to cope with some of the more difficult programme sources available, and would for example suit a collector with an extensive disc library.

Hi-Fi News:
(Ivor Humphreys on the 306 power amplifier) What’s it like in situ? Nice, very nice. Trying it with my……Quad 34, Quad ESL63 set up produced a sound of notable ease with plenty of air around the notes and a very stable stereo placement regardless of programme demands. As with other components I’ve been impressed by, my initial reaction was almost ambivalent – I had expected, although I shouldn’t have done, that the unit might be more, well, apparent than it is. But it’s apparent only by virtue of its essential anonymity, and the only sonic signature I became aware of was a slightly warmer bass end than I have been used to hearing of late with amplifiers such as the Sondex PA-30 and Hafler DH-120.
At its price level and sporting the far more universal phono input connectors, it is well placed to cause a big upset in the market. And quite right too, I say.

Price: £450
This exact combination is currently being offered by several dealers at prices a good deal higher than this (up to £695).

Collection only. Lancashire - Preston/Southport area.
This sale is only open to AoS members with 50 posts or more.

Ha, two minutes! So you would've been quicker if you'd just stuck to the normal 3 courses then?

I must say this is a perfect example of how to advertise in the classifieds

Should be made a sticky just in case anyone forgets what the perfect ad looks like... No wonder they sold so quick ;)

That's a very kind comment, thank you James.

Yes, I think it's important to make an advert the very best that you can, and I am a bit of a stickler for doing it right. It helps the buyer and it helps the seller. That's why I've been recently nagging sellers to put photos in their sales threads!
