Just a quick hello,
my name is Clive I decided to join after attending the Wigwam show. I have been interested (my wife says obsessed) with hi-fi from an early age. Im now in my early fifties and just about to retire and will hopefully have more time to spend sorting out a nicer system. I am going to try valves and have bought a Puresound A30 amp that I want to have modded as per the one I heard at Scalford Hall. No doubt in the coming months ill be picking peoples brains for ideas.
My current system is
rega 25
Garrard 401/RB250
AAA5(avondale) CD player
Puresound A8000 CD player
Quad FM3
Grad 1/APX2 power supply
Avondale V1 Amp
RMS Revalation 2 speakers
Puresound A30 (pick up next week)

Welcome to AOS Clive.

The Pure Sound amplifier is indeed a great amp and there are no doubt things you can do to it to raise its performance further. You could have a chat with Guy the amps designer, he's a member here or AnthonyTD who is part of the AOS team and a valve amp expert.

Hi Clive, and excellent to welcome you to the forum. I'm glad you enjoyed hearing some of the AOS kit at the bake-off. Your system looks to have a nice and genuine mix of old and new singing together. Just how it should be in my opinion! :)

If I remember correctly the Puresound Amp at Scalford was modded by Anthony. Hopefully he'll be along sometime to add some details!
