Who went to the Bristol show then? I had a really good look around with my brother and for me it has pretty much sealed the deal on buying a pair of Rega RS5's, although Anthem AV have said they will bring a set of Paradigm monitor 7's to my house for me to try :eyebrows:. Finally saw some McIntosh 275's and a load more of there gear which was incredibly impressive and had a listen to some other valves, i have to admit i am starting to see what all the fuss is about! I was also very impressed with the PMC room, so much sound from such small speakers! :stalks: I was also finally able to hear a Dragonfly DAC which i was very impressed with, all i have to do now is try some streamers and then i can decide which route to go down on the PC/streamer route.

All in all a pretty educational weekend! :)

I assume you're talking about the upstairs PMC room, rather then the downstairs one, which was playing host to the attached 'standmounters'? :D

For God's sake, that was the main thing I wanted to see at the show

Nice to meet you after all this time Dave (MCRU).

I was really happy to be able to go home and not hate my stereo; I'm actually rather impressed with what it can do.

I had no idea McIntosh 275's are so large! They sounded good driving some Focals.

Aurum had some weird looking but very capable speakers.
