I heard a few they sounded good
But if you want to build speakers I suggest go down open baffle a lot waiser to build and give you more bang for your bucks

I had a HSM a while back. A stunning speaker. Bass is down right awsome and mid and top is very good as well. I recomend them all day long.

Yup, I had the Kord Tornado, the base design for the HSM, cracking speakers! They went down well at Scalford a couple of years back.

HSM?

I would have totally agreed with that a while back and always wanted to do a diy project, always put off with the loss if i was to sell on.
Until that is, i did DIY open baffle with bastanis/transfi, best move i have even done sold on my very very good Living voice speakers and have never missed them.
as for reselling i have had several guys at my home to have a listen and all bar 1 has aske to buy these if im ever selling so in some cases i agree but when its done right they can give you a huge upgrade and have a good resale value to boot.

Agree with John, do an open baffle project first loads of advice and options

The Hawthore Audio Silver Iris drivers are very good value if you go down the OB route. I had a pair of the 10" models, now the 'Performance' model, rather than the 'Sterling' model with the Radian CD driver.
Comes with crossover, just add a baffle and you are away.
