Clearing out more old stuff! NOS Headphone adapter box for amplifiers without headphone sockets [Quad, Naim, Rega, Valve amps etc...]

You just wire it up to your amplifiers speaker outputs & then wire your speakers to the adapter box... Simples !

Its "as new" I removed it from the box to test & photograph and can confirm its in full working order. Includes original crimp spade connectors which have perished & all necessary mounting hardware.

Dunno what its worth, £10 ?

Are they 70's ? I bought it a while back off a bloke that had about fifty of the things all in mint condition, maybe an ex-employee or something !?

Definitely advertised in the 1971 edition of the Hi-Fi year book. There was a review of a couple of the M.A.C audio adapter units in Hi-Fi News magazine, November 1968, pp. 1355 -1356.

There were two versions of the AAU-2: one using a 1/4" jack socket, and a second using a 5-way DIN socket for the phones connection.

I've been after some of the other M.A.C AAUs for years now. Yours was the only one I ever seen advertised for sale - and I missed it!
