I am contemplating upgrading my Brio R with a potential budget around £1000 to £1500, the rest of the system is Marantz Sa15s1CD,Kef LS50 speakers, with an Audiolab M-dac.
Whatever I buy must be remote control and ideally solid state.
My shortlist so far:-
Cyrus 8a
Roksan Caspian M2
Heed Obelisk Si
Naim Nait XS.
Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
What don't you like about the brio?
Rega have a new amp coming out which could be an option (and a tangible improvement on the brio).
XTZ Desire integrated.
Will outperform your shortlisted amps easily and have a remote, phono stage and DAC thrown in as well. Cheaper too by a mile.

It's a nice amp IMHO, to better it substantially you will need to look towards the wee glowing bottles if you don't want to spend hugely IMHO.

Croft pre and power but no remote. If a remote is a must, wait for the upcoming Rega Elicit-R.
