I Have a MacBook Pro that I connect to my MDAC via USB which it always identifies.
I have a new S/PDIF dac that when I connect it to my lap top (S/PDIF- Hiface-Laptop) it can't find it, or rather I don't know if I need to make/ask it to find the DAC, how do I joint the laptop to the DAC?
Thanks

Have you manually installed the drivers for the hiface from the M2Tech website? You need to...

Also you could check in 'Audio Midi' that the HiFace is being used for sound output, ( move loudspeaker icon into HiFace pane)

You can download SoundSource for extremely easy 'menulet' access to the source you use for sound out on my Mac.

I'm running Mountain Lion, by the way, and it works fine for me (documentation says it's not compatible with Mountain Lion, I beg to differ...)
