Hi team,
Could really do with a decent cartridge up to the above value - needs to be reasonably 'stiff' to match the Pioneer's arm, preferably MM or HOMC if at all possible. Reason being is that the 770ES's MC input is something of an unkown (ie I ain't tried it yet!) so rather than spend out on a 'coil and find it's not all that great, I'd rather play safe for now in the knowledge that the MM stage is a goodie.
Whassup with the Rega Carbon? It's a hoot on the right material but on orchestral stuff it gets in a bit of a flap - its resolution isn't the best.
