I have owned the Caiman for a couple of years and it has served me well in that time. It is in immaculate condition and if it was not for the the fact that I have way overspent this month and need to recoup my costs it would be staying to do service with the Mini-T down in the kitchen system.

This is a standard Caiman sporting two coaxial, one optical and a USB input. Stan shipped this unit to me fitted with a Gator board but it has been replaced with a modified standard board which sounds so much sweeter. Please don't ask me what mods have been carried out because I have no idea, the previous owner of the board did the work, I only know I prefer the sound of it over the Gator ;)

I am looking for £100ono paid via PP Gift please, this includes P&P

Thank you... :)

It's had all the bipolar caps replaced as per Stan's suggestions. I think that board has Nichicon bipolars fitted (green). Definitely sounds better than the standard board. :eyebrows:

Nope. Just checked and I still have that board. That means it has the Stan supplied Rubycon capacitor upgrade fitted. Even better! :)

Just so you know, I replaced the standard boards in both my DACs with Caiman boards when Stan issued them, the reason they were surplus.

Cheers for that Bernie. My apologies, you did tell me but I have a memory like a sieve and the entire orchestra and cast of West Side Story to contend with...

To sweeten the deal I will include in the sale the Gator board which was previously for sale separately :)

I thought the Gator board only had an opamp on th headphone side of the circuit?

That looks like a picture of the standard board.

Spot on Bernie, I didn't notice in my haste to comply with the rules that it wasn't the correct item, so here is an even smexier close up of the real deal... :D

Hi Synsei, still doing some research on building my system but definitely interested in this. Still available?

It will be soon but I need to hang onto it for a little longer as the Bushmaster I bought to replace it has blown a 'gasket' and needs to go back to Stan so he can fettle it. If you are interested I would be willing to reserve it for you, then I will PM you once the Bushmaster has returned from Stan's ;)

I think my budget is a little tight for this, going to have to go with the onboard chip on the Odroid, which I expect to be terrible...

Good luck with the sale.
