Does it make much difference if your amp and speakers have different impedances? I have just noticed a setting on my AV amp which would make it match my speakers. It was in the advanced setup, difficult to access.
The impedance of your speakers changes with Frequency, so only way to know is to try it - for sure you'll get a different sound, may be better for you...may be not :)

Would that be the switch at the back of the Yamaha Jerry, I had mine set on 8Ohm from day one to match the speakers, never tried it any other way. I'm off to listen to Joni Mitchell - Blue:cool:

No, it's in the advanced menu options John. Don't think it makes much difference.

Probably doesn't make a lot of difference as you say, I was just concerned it may cause damage if set incorrectly.
