Just caught up with this release from the less prolific half of 'Steely Dan', although it came out at the end of 2008. No doubt most hard-core Dan fans bought it years ago but if you haven't this is a must have record. Some Dan trademarks are noticeable but there is an underlying reggae/Dub theme going on that makes it a radical enough departure from oppo Fagen's contemporary output to be fresh and different. Clever lyrics- of course - and quite a intricate and understated production. Despite that more than a couple of tracks have some catchy hooks that make you want to listen again. Highly recommended.

I was a bit ahead of you - and bought my copy last October.

Agreed excellent album and a must have for any Danites out there.
:D

I have a CD by Walter Becker titled Circus Money.
Is it anything like Circus Monkey, I wonder?
