Anyone using the Rega Dac ??

Been thinking if I can improve my Meridian 506.20 with one and then maybe going the computer music route etc

What is the Rega Dac like ?

Thanks for any comments

I use the Rega DAC with my BrioR Bev and it's very good indeed . My source is now a music server built by Gary ( Gazjam ) on this forum , who is a very clever computer engineer with first class knowledge of file based audio .

I own a Rega Dac which I use with a Brio R and Apollo R, it really is a fine dac, very musical and enjoyable.

I also own an Audiolab M-dac in a second system, a very different product, of the two my preference is for the Rega.

With the Rega I think it will depend what input you using so if using SPDIF then this is a great DAC for the money but if you using via USB their a quite a few that will beat it for the same money

I've had one for a coupe of weeks and its very good.
I don't use USB for audio but when I tried it the performance is audibly identical to spdif on this dac.

I'm using a Meridian 507 with a Monarchy Audio DAC and DIP jitter buster and the combination sounds fantastic.
