Having just moved house and got married it is time to lose those "never started projects".

Firstly I have two Dual 1019 idler drive decks. These are considered Dual's greatest decks and were "up there" with the best available at the time. One needs the motor servicing or swapping from the other. Both are in plinths with lids and are in "as good" nick as you will find. You will have one nigh on perfect deck and a bank of spares from another complete deck. I will take £200 for the pair o.n.o.

Next a slightly tatty Lenco GL75. Bought as a project I have serviced the bearing and motor. This is a heavy platter Lenco that can be turned into something special. In its original plinth will make an amazing project. Make me an offer of over £70.

The Duals are special and if I had the time and room I would keep em.

The 1019 is potentially still a great deck, slick to use and perfect for 78 lovers too, as well as those with a collection of vintage 7" singles. It happily transfers to great single record playing too (just raise the cueing lift before engaging "start" and off you go :))

I have no more room for any more turntables, although I'd love a 1019 to complete my wonderful experiences of these. The motors should be carefully openable for service and as long as the coils are ok, the bearings shouldn't be badly worn. Cartridge mounts can still be got and idlers too, although these don't seem to age too much.

The 1019 arm can be used with surprisingly good modern cartridges and, for single record use, a cork or acrylic mat will get the arm more level when playing (the roots of this model are definitely in the 1960's high-quality autochanger market). The bearings are good and the pipe and headshell assembly quite rigid, so an Ortofon 2M series Red or Blue should be a great match (a Linn K9 was well at home on one of these I remember).

Good luck with the sale

This is the last opportunity to acquire this slice of idler drive history before they go on to ebay.

Just to be clear, this is for 2 DUAL 1019 DECKS!

The buyer would have one deck and all the parts for complete servicing or refurbishment if he or she desired!

Congratulations, mate! I hope you guys will be very happy together. You'll have to give me an invite to your house warming/first bake-off :gig: :eyebrows:

Good luck with the sale, btw!
