The first time this morning ive ever encountered a Microphonic Tube..Quite entertaining really but i obviously need a new one. :(

I keep followings goodies on E-Bay but they invariably go for a lot more than I'm prepared to pay. I don't 'need' anything more than I have but I do get tempted occasionally. I won't pay lunatic prices though.

i had to damp mine on the Lafayette as they were always going microphonic, got some heat shrink type stuff around them now, its some obscure American valve so i can't find a equivalent
