JPW AP2 For Sale

Pair of JPW AP2 speakers for sale:

Finished in black ash, good overall condition but they have scratched bases from being on spiked stands, also some minor marks to the woofers but nothing to panic about. These are the mk1 version [speckleback as some call them] with passive & active inputs, bitumen damped cabinet & a more traditional look.

Tweeters are mint, woofers have been re-foamed & crossovers have new MKP caps & MOX resistors. Looking for £60 - Located in Cornwall but will courier at cost.

Hi Mike, The Vifa tweeter is capable of lots more detail once the capacitor is changed but IMO this is not necessarily a good thing as it becomes quite uncouth with it.... double edged sword & all that.

I think AudioNote used a high quality bipolar in the type-k for very good reason & that's exactly what I would do in hindsight. Changing the resistor from ceramic to MOX has no affect on sound quality to my ears but the old hot melt glue was so strong I had to destroy the original resistors to get the capacitors out.
