Chaps,
Aware another Brio-R is currently for sale here, but mine is for collection only.
Pretty well brand new, supplied direct by Rega themselves a few weeks ago, barely used. Boxed with all accessories, etc. Remote and mains lead unused.
Collection only from Reading RG6 not far off M4 Jns 10/11. Given it's collection only I am looking for £325 which I'd hope is a great deal for someone.
Superb amplifier with an amazing phono stage. So why am I selling? I have recently bought some of the latest model ADM9 active speakers and thus all I now need are my sources - RP6 turntable, phono stage and Mac :)
I also don't need my Rega Jura loudspeakers which are in near perfect cosmetic condition and full working order. Again, collection only and £150 ONO should seal it. For the £150 I'd throw in some Rega speaker wire.

Old Dr Honeybunn-billy-no-mates will have a field day with TWO Brio R's for sale here
The Jura's are mk1's and fantastic for rock and bassy stuff and in my opinion have a great midrange. The treble sparkles as it does on all Rega speakers, but suitably cabled from the amp, it can be well tamed. I sold loads of them in the late 90's and at that price they really are a steal. Got to be better than weedy Royds or suspect 1980's budget stuff and I think they can still be serviced too.....

Thanks for the prompt Dave and I'll get some decent photos organised asap.
However, the Brio-R is mint, as new and the Juras are as described - dark wood (cherry or teak) finish.
Obviously, any potential buyer can inspect to check they are happy :)
Cheers

Yo daftee,
You should 'shill' Croft gear more - it's in a different league, sonically, and unlikely to come back and bite you on the botty! :D
Sorry for the interruption, Phil. Good luck with the sale :)
Marco.

Quite right, I'd rather shove wasps up my a**e than sell mine. I've flagged this one up to a mate who's been very impressed with them. At this price its a steal, sure it will sell quick.
Fantastic amp for the money.
As they say in America - fantastic amp - period. Regardless of cost, the Brio R is a little diamond, and I won't be selling mine for many a year. (And I'll get no shill payment for a secondhand sale either!)
Shilly shilly, willy-nilly, you silly billy - never mind, showz yer willeeeeeeee.... :bum:

I could not agree more chaps, it's amazing. However, with active speakers I don't need it. I have priced it as a "steal" on the condition it is collection only so I don't have to worry about posting and damage. Likewise, if I sell on the bay once you have allowed for fees, etc, the price I am offering it at seems appropriate.
The phono stage alone sounds fantastic, as good to my ears as phono stages I have owned that cost more than the amp.
The other thing I should say is I'm in no hurry so if anyone wants to reserve it that's fine. We are snowed in here in Reading at the moment anyway.
Photos will follow but are not really needed as it is as new.
Cheers

Brio provisionally sold - I knew it would not hang around long :)
Come on someone, give the Jura's a go... With half a Wilko bath sponge sideways in the port (all of ours went out thus equipped), these sound fantastic. Rega Recommend Bi-Amping too (bi-wiring makes beggar-all difference) and I can confirm this, having done it on a few occasions. The crossover bits seen by each amp are so simple when used this way, they might as well be active IMO..

I DO recommend Croft, and at every opportunity. The Brio R is so good it does give the Croft Integrated a run for it's money though.
As for the silly-billy who's gone back to Cyrus rather than up to summat really-really-really good and far more expensive..... baaaaaaaaaa! :ner:

They look really good and someone might just hit gold with these at the price, wish i didn't have so many speakers in my possesion.
Your sponge park sideways made me chuckle, thats the 1st thing i do with the couple of rear ported speakers i've owned over the years,
just can't with my AZ3, not even parked side ways. :D
Phil ~ RPM6 !!, what happened to all your Lenco 70's?, why the Project TT choice?.

wii,
Long story, but ultimately it was all down to supply of the source - records!
Old Lencos excelled with 78's and mono but my tastes are generally more recent. Couple that with a fabulous vinyl shop on my doorstep and the decision was made to opt for a modern vinyl system. That said, it looks like I am heading the digitising route!
Good as the Rega is, it don't have the character of those old Lencos though.

Hello
I've just joined this forum and I'm looking for an amp for my newly purchased (from eBay) Rega 3 turntable. Are your Rega Brio and speakers still for sale?

I believe you will find that the Brio-r listed in this thread, was sold over a year ago.
Meantime, Phil purchased another Brio-r from me some months ago.
