Looking for a cheap but cheerful amp for my 13 year olds first set up. He's persuaded me to give him my much loved JPW AP3's with Custom Design stands!

I had procured a small amp but unfortunately it developed a fault that was uneconomic to repair.

Not looking to spend much - £50 to £100. Something minimalist and reliable would be good and able to be posted.

A headphone socket would also be a bonus as you can imagine.:gig:

Cheers

NAD 3020A or 3120, Creek 4040 or 4140, one of the tweaked Rotel BX models from the 80's, A&R A60 although many will be feeling their age now..

Also the little Denon PMA 250's and 350's were well made, good sounding and durable and should be around this price I think.

My first amp the Denon PMA250 was decent for what it cost, should be relatively cheap used. The Rotel RA-930AX was a fine budget amp but not so sure about the later RA-931.

Hi Jim, thanks for offer. I'm chasing Denons on ebay but may come back to you if unsuccessful. Maybe need something with a bit more oomph?!

Cheers
