Hi to all,
My jvc car cd player that i have had for 10 yrs is about to pack up. I use my car alot during working hours when i am at work. any suggestions on a good budget car cd player?? also good matching budget car speakers?? I,m not sure if my thread belongs in aos forums but i personally consider listening to music in my car equally important as in my home. the sound i got out of a pioneer car tape player 20 yrs ago was very good but sadly someone stole it. but i prefer car cd now...
Kalozois.
I installed one of these a year ago:

Forget all the fan dangled iPod compatibles about. If you want sound quality from CD then this boy is worth a listen. The DSP is built into the unit so you don't have any extra boxes for the set up like the Alpine Imprint.
How much is it? :)
Marco.
£399 RRP
I'm pretty sure I paid under £300 for it though.
* Just had a quick browse about it seems like this is now a MkII with a RRP of £550. Mines a MK1 so they might have been selling them off when I purchased originally?

I use cheapish Pioneer with IPod/usb support and Focal polyglass speakers, cost about 700€ installed, the speakers were the expensive part and show up just how flimsy the doors are.
Are you keeping us in suspense? ;)

I'm just using the fitted ones at the moment. It's a right fiasco trying to get the door panels off of the car I have to change them out. It took me a few days to get the thing in and working. These new computerised BUS systems are a right pain for putting an aftermarket stereo in. For instance, no Live Accessory for ignition on and offing. What's the world coming too?
I was looking at these babies:
