Hi all,

What a great website this is. Been keen on hifi since the early 70's when I used to lie in bed listening to my dads system blasting out. Thorens TD 125 MK2 with SME3009 arm (now mine) playing through his Celestion Ditton 44's.

I was given a pair of B&W DM3's in the mid 80's along with a Leak Stereo 70 and steriofetic tuner. All still in use today, though will post elsewhere about an alternative amp which is now required.

Hello David and welcome to AoS. Those are some great classic components you have, especially the Thorens TD125 and Ditton 44s. Enjoy!

The 44's are still in dads possession, but as he gave up with vinyl I have his thorens, which I use with the B&W DM3's.

B&W DM3s - nice! I use the DM2A's in my second system, but I would prefer to use DM3s

What cartridge do you use in the Thorens 125/SME 3009? I assume it is a fixed coil design -and what sort of music do you play with it?
