Who's next to fold?

Following Jessops, who's demise has come as no real surprise, it would seem that HMV could well be next.

Again most of us have been expecting it for a couple of years now.

Now I haven't bought anything in HMV for years, but today, I joined the vultures and had a bit of a pick at the scraps left in the Lancaster shop.
I was in there last week for a look and noticed new 'normal price' stickers on all of the CDs. Most things also had a reduction sticker on them. It looked to me very much like the prices had been jacked up before the discounts had been applied. I walked out without buying anything.
Today, there were a few records left - perhaps ten or fifteen, all with good reductions in price, so I selected three for myself, all albums that I already own on vinyl.


Joni Mitchell - 'Court & Spark'
Jeff Beck Group - 'Truth'
Jeff Beck Group - 'Beck-Ola'


How much for those three at full price then?

Weren't Audio T in trouble a while ago, or was it Sevenoaks, or even both? They were going to meld together, but I believe that came to nowt and Audio T were going to sort themselves out independantly... I think many brands depend on Sevenoaks almost exclusively, since the independants abandoned brands going into these stores, so if anything happened to them, it really would spell the death-knell for many brands in the UK at least...
