Got a link saying Rodger Water's "Amused To Death" to be issued on limited edition vinyl at $300 and on SACD; Steven Stills 4cd on Rhino also due out.

Both links originated from the SteveHoffman.tv site which I've been led to before, but I've never gone to the home page. Wish I had as it has some FANTASTIC! links. There's one on Gerry Anderson's Supercar with numerous links. Another is the "Internet Moving Images Archive" which covers - ALLSORTS! and free to download. Just got some Betty Boop. There is one film on the reanimation of dead animals (dog) by some Russian scientist. Allsorts.

What site are you talking about? Or have I missed something.

The new QRP Amused To Death will likely be £55 or £100 if they do it at 45rpm over 4 discs.

The site is stevehoffman.tv, as in http://stevehoffman.tv.

The price mentioned was $300, which is why I stated $300.

I thought the name was vaguely familiar and when I went to his discography page I found out why - he's a mastering engineer. Seems he's worked on all manner of artist's material: Steely Dan, The Who, The Zombies, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, CCR and a boatload of others.

I am a member there and contributed to that thread. The quoted $300 is for a mint original 1992 pressing. The QRP will be approx 55$ which will mean £55 over here including VAT. SH Forum is probably the biggest music/hi-fi forum on the interweb. Given the crazy pricing of originals this is most welcome and I have pre-ordered one even though I have the original.

I'll take your word for it Paul. All I know is that I had a pop-up in my browser saying the album was being re-released on vinyl and the price of $300 was in relation to that item. There wasn't any mention of the 1992 version just the SACD also being available.

Totally. Totally. Totally (Totally) - OFF THE WALL and WAY BEYOND! and an absolute HOOT of a read:

LOVE IT!!

Somewhere he gives tips that cost nothing and mentions his love affair with hot-melt glue which is a great semi-permanet solution for cartridge stylus bodies and also with resonent armtubes. I can't remember where I found it though.

Sorry. This shouldn't be here. I could delete it but then Chris' reply won't make much sense.
